In the midst of threats of dismissal, the State Workers Association (ATE) of Argentina ratified last Monday the start of the 48-hour National Strike in rejection of the possible position of the Government against a group of employees belonging to the National Service for Health and Food Quality (SENASA).

The working forces begin the day of struggle, and faced with the threat of dismissals, in addition to the SENASA workers.

The measure is expected to affect the operation of the country's ports, airports and customs.

In this regard, the general secretary of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar, confirmed the measure of force and issued a statement criticizing the Argentine president, Javier Milei for his threat to fire 30 percent of SENASA's plant workers.
