In Argentina, retirees and pensioners who earn more than 388,500 pesos must pay for their medicines and will not enjoy the benefit of the discount, as announced by the government of the extreme right, Javier Milei.
The Comprehensive Health Care Program (PAMI) reported that it changed the conditions for the delivery of medications as part of what they called “readjustments” throughout this year in different stages, explained Page 12.
It was announced that retirees and pensioners who meet the requirements of the new measure must fill out a form in order to receive the subsidy for the purchase of drugs.
According to the announcement, it justifies that it is a matter of offering the subsidy to those who really need it: “In addition to all the coverage we have, we will continue to guarantee full access to medicines through social subsidies for all those who really need it.”
