In the early morning of this Sunday, two flights from Argentina and one from Mexico helped to increase assistance in Venezuela with search and rescue specialists, and with humanitarian aid to face the vulnerable situation faced by thousands of families affected by the double earthquake of last June 24.

On a first plane of the Argentine Air Force, 36 rescuers arrived in the country, who will immediately be deployed in the areas most affected by the double earthquake, to support the efforts aimed at dealing with the consequences of the tragedy, in coordination with national agencies.

Major General Manuel Castillo Rengifo, designated Venezuelan ambassador to Belarus, welcomed the brigades and thanked them for their solidarity with the Venezuelan people in the face of the earthquake disaster.

On a second flight from the southern nation, more operational teams made up of seven brigade members and four rescue dogs arrived.

From northern Latin America, a flight from Mexico landed in La Guaira with 52 tons of humanitarian aid collected by the association of Venezuelan executives and businessmen in the Aztec nation.

The shipment, received by Ambassadors Castillo Rengifo and Samuel Moncada, consists of medical supplies, non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, essential medicines and supplies for rescue.
