The mayor's office of the Girardot municipality, in the state of Aragua, in conjunction with the Venezuela Renace Plan, began construction of a house on JJ Montesinos Street in the Piñonal sector, a building that suffered significant damage with definitive faults as a result of the double earthquake of last June 24, so it required its total demolition to make way for a new structure.

The work began with the first phase of the project, which involves the demolition of the remains of concrete and brick walls and dividing structures, as well as the removal and cleaning of accumulated debris in the different areas of the house, including partially demolished rooms and perimeter walls that were at risk.

According to a press release from the municipality, during the day, the workers cleared the affected areas, leaving the floor free and ready for the next phase of reconstruction, which will include the leveling of the land and the construction of the new housing structure that will restore security and tranquility to the beneficiary family.

With this intervention, municipal management is making progress in the recovery of homes affected by earthquakes, directly serving families who lost their homes, an articulated effort between the national and regional executive to ensure that the process is carried out with the technical support and institutional support required.
