Aragua and Monagas receive the 19th edition of FILVEN

With the slogan “Reading meets us again”, this Wednesday, May 15, the regional editions of the 19th International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN) will be inaugurated simultaneously, in the states of Aragua and Monagas, sponsored by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture through the National Book Center (CENAL) and the State Cabinets of Culture, in coordination with regional authorities.

The literary festival will take place from May 15 to 18 at the Legislative Council of the Bolivarian State of Aragua, located in Maracay; while in Monagas the event will take place from 15 to 17 at the Oriente Lottery Center, in front of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Carmen, Maturín municipality, San Simón parish.

The honored national writer Armando Carías will participate in Monagas to share his experiences for 50 years, with boys and girls through theater; as well as Julián Márquez.

For his part, in Aragua, Carlos Ortiz, professor of Literature and editorial producer with 30 years of experience in managing publications for different institutions, will be as a guest.

The 19th FILVEN pays tribute to national writers: Carmen Delia Bencomo, Domingo Alberto Rangel and Armando Carías. In addition, in Aragua, the regional writers honored are: the oral narrator Siria Flores and the outstanding poet José Manuel Morgado (posthumous). In the same way, the publisher Dirtsa Cartonera will be present, which is a dynamic and participatory project with an ecological vision.

Both Aragüeans and Monaguenses will be able to access literary news and enjoy book presentations, talks, conferences, workshops and various artistic and cultural expressions. In addition, children will be able to enjoy both appointments with the letters of the traditional children's pavilion.
