The General Secretariat of the Arab National Congress called for the immediate cessation of armed clashes between Riyadh and Sana'a, with the firm intention of preserving the sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity of Yemen.

According to information provided by Telesur, the pan-Arab organization emphasized the urgency of establishing an inclusive dialogue that would put an end to the bloodshed of the civilian population and protect strategic resources against pretensions of interference by foreign powers.

In its statement, the institution formally offered its mediation services and good offices to facilitate understanding between the parties involved, while supporting the initiative formulated by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, aimed at consolidating national unity.

The organization also pointed out that the cessation of war actions is essential to avoid the wear and tear of Arab forces and to allow the concentration of strategic efforts in the defense of the region against the aggressions of the Zionist regime.
