Ángel Rodríguez won gold and bronze in Weightlifting at the Junior World Championship in Spain

The Venezuelan weightlifter, Ángel Rodríguez, won the gold medal in the 81kg weightlifting category, at the Junior World Championship, which is held at the Exhibition and Congress Center in the city of León, Spain.

The Venezuelan won the gold medal after starting a 151 kg lift, while the bronze medal won after lifting a total of 321 kg, according to information published by VTV.

In Envión, the Criollo was in fifth position with 170 kg.

Venezuela has won its third medal in this prestigious world championship, after the one won by Kerlys Montilla, who won the bronze medal in the starting mode, lifting a total of 76 kg in the 49 kg category.

The Junior World Championship will be held until September 27, with the participation of more than 300 athletes from around the world.
