During the regular session this Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) debated and supported the statements of Attorney General Tarek William Saab, who revealed the conspiracy plans that sought to carry out terrorist actions and assassination against the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

“We have the responsibility of deputies to achieve the ultimate consequences so that none of those involved and involved in this conspiracy continue to be aspiring leaders of the Republic, to be aspiring candidates and candidates, to decide the destinies of the Republic,” said Deputy Blanca Eekhout.

For her part, the parliamentarian Ilenia Medina highlighted the work of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and his Government to guarantee peace and to stop these terrorist attacks over the years, while proposing an absolute conviction for those criminals who attack the Homeland. Those scoundrels who have more than 40,000 deaths to their credit and we think that's not enough,” he added.

Medina described the position of some opposition deputies regarding these right-wing terrorist actions as lukewarm.

“They should have that same position of rejection, not lukewarm, weak, fearful, you can't play crazy,” he criticized.

In this regard, the deputy and president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, pointed out the re-victimization of the opposition group over the terrorist attacks of those whom they were supporting and who now blame the government for supposedly not taking care to protect the country.

,” he emphasized.
