The legislative commission that organizes a dialogue table with political parties in the country has agreed to create three subcommissions to address different issues related to current electoral laws, said the president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez.

In statements made after the first meeting held this Thursday at the Federal Legislative Palace, Rodríguez indicated that the first subcommittee will review the Constitution of the Republic in aspects related to electoral elements.

The second instance will be technical and will be responsible for evaluating the review of the functioning of political parties and voter groups in Venezuela. The third subcommission will work on the reforms of laws or the development of new legal instruments.

“We are calling for a new meeting for next Tuesday. The subcommissions declare themselves in permanent session to move forward and on Tuesday we will meet again and move forward with proposals,” he said.
