This Tuesday, October 22, the president of the Nominations Committee for Citizen Power of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello, announced the extension of the deadline for the registration of candidates for the position of attorney general, comptroller and ombudsman.

During the regular session held at the Federal Legislative Palace, in a right of speech, Alessandrello explained that as a result of “the large number of emails and telephone calls from applicants to this process, who reported that they had problems with the provision of documents, we unanimously decided to extend the application process for four more days.”

He explained that next Saturday, October 26, the final list of candidates will be prepared by the media, while on Monday, October 28, the evaluation process will begin, which will last for five days.

He also highlighted that, so far, the committee has received 105 applications. “An extraordinary number, which reflects the participatory and proactive spirit of our people,” he said.

“This number far exceeds the number obtained in the last selection for the three positions we are evaluating,” he said.
