AN commemorated 532 years of Indigenous Resistance

The National Assembly (AN) approved the Draft Agreement to commemorate 532 years of Indigenous Resistance on October 12.

“There were 507 years of darkness because since 1999 that light that was intended to be turned off shone brightly and, since then, we have been the protagonists for 25 years writing the history of our people with ink of love and not of blood,” emphasized the deputy Kariela Aray, who presented the Draft Agreement.

He described the Spanish crown as decadent, which they pretend to believe that it is 1492 when they meddled in the internal affairs of Venezuela.

“Faced with this, we must hold on to our roots with full awareness of our present, in which the fundamental thing must be unity. Today we are in a communication offensive where its essence resides in the core of communities to consolidate the backbone of independence,” he said.

He urged to resist the attacks of the enemies of the Fatherland who are trying to undermine the peace of the national territory.
