AN authorized the constitution of Empresa Mixta Petrolera Roraima, S.A.

During the regular session this Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) authorized the constitution of the Roraima Joint Petroleum Company, S.A., in accordance with the provisions of article 187 number 9 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in accordance with article 33 of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons.

“The company will have an area of 1,825 square kilometers, it will have a business plan with an investment of 13,576 million dollars,” said Deputy Ángel Rodríguez.

In this sense, under the new law, this company has to pay the country 33% of that investment it develops in the energy area.

He also asserted that Venezuela is playing a fundamental role in global energy stability with important supplies to countries such as China, India, Spain, France, among others.

“The Venezuelan oil market is open to international investment and the country is receiving significant investment funds, so we can say that production will continue to grow and there will be more economic stability,” he emphasized.
