The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, proposed this Tuesday to the full Parliament to send a letter to the National Electoral Council (CNE) to withdraw the invitation to the European Union (EU) observer mission to the presidential elections next July 28 in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In a regular session of the AN, Deputy Rodríguez argued the decision after the rude action of the continental bloc in an attempt to offend the dignity of the Venezuelan Electoral Power, with the “temporary” lifting of sanctions against some officials of the organization.

“From the National Assembly, together with the People of Venezuela, we must become complainants of these barbarians of these scoundrels, and propose in writing, with the agreement of this entire National Assembly, to the Electoral Power to rescind the invitation to the Electoral Observation Mission of the European Union,” said the parliamentarian.

Rodríguez pointed out that Venezuelan institutions tried to approach, but European observers have been clearly biased by the extremist opposition sector, making it impossible to go ahead with the invitation.

“The thing is that they don't forgive our freedom, they don't forgive us for being independent, they don't forgive us that a man 1.47 meters tall defeated the most powerful army the entire planet knew at that time. They don't forgive our rebellion, they don't forgive our dignity, our stubbornness doesn't forgive us,” he said from the Federal Legislative Palace.

In this regard, he reiterated the proposal to send the letter, “signed by the Board of Directors of the National Assembly, to the worthy courageous president of the National Electoral Council, Dr. Elvis Amoroso, asking him to withdraw the invitation made to the European Union, by rude, by bastards!” , he emphasized.
