Yesterday, the National Assembly (AN) approved the appointment of Félix Ramón Plasencia González, as Ambassador Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and other Organizations based in London, United Kingdom.

During the regular session, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the report presented by the Standing Committee on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration was unanimously approved.

The parliamentarian José Antonio Sivira was in charge of introducing the document, which authorized the appointment made by the president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

The new Ambassador Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the IMO has extensive diplomatic experience and experience, as foreign minister of the Republic, ambassador to the People's Republic of China and Colombia.
