Ambassador of Venezuela presents Credentials to the President of Serbia

The accreditation of the Venezuelan diplomatic representative strengthens relations between the two governments

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela appointed to the Republic of Serbia, Jaidys Briceño, presented her Credentials to the President of the European country Aleksandar Vučić on Monday at the Presidential Palace in the city of Belgrade.

The accreditation of the Venezuelan diplomatic representative strengthens relations between the two governments and the bonds of friendship between their peoples.

Briceño is a career diplomat in the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, who was promoted to the rank of Ambassador in 2020. His career in the foreign service includes his positions as Second Consul General, Acting Head of the Consulate General of Venezuela in Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany, from 2008 to 2015, and Deputy Head of Mission of Venezuela to the European Union, with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, from 2022 to 2024.

In the framework of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), President Vučić held a fraternal meeting on September 27, in New York, with the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, in which they reviewed bilateral relations and expressed the political will to strengthen them and raise them in level.
