From the Theater of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, the permanent representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Ambassador Samuel Moncada, gave a conference entitled “The intervention of the United States in the Venezuelan electoral system as a technique of a coup d'etat in 2024” in which he unveiled the interventionist plot by the government Joe Biden's imperialist.
In this regard, the Sectorial Vice President for Defense and Sovereignty described the activity as relevant and necessary in view of recent events in the country. “We have been facing permanent aggression since 2002 (...) we are a permanent objective target of North American imperialism to fragment the Venezuelan State and divide the national spirit, its institutions and democracy,” he stressed.
The diplomat denounced the developing coup d'etat, calling on men and women in uniforms to maintain morals, a clear and diaphanous conscience to defend independence.
The ambassador showed evidence to members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) that evidences the interference of the U.S. government in the presidential elections of July 28.
He also warned of a new stage in the development of the coup d'etat, stating that it will continue at least until January 23, 2025. “The United States has not stopped,” he said, while condemning the intention behind these plans, whose purpose is to republish what happened in 2019.
“In short, we are under hostile attack that endangers the life of the Republic,” said Moncada, who assured that the administration of the U.S. government is responsible for directing this plan, so he explained and disbanded every element used and planned for its execution.
He also detailed how before, during and after the presidential elections, Venezuela has been the target of cyberattacks and strategic influence operations, as well as of an open, covert, combined media nature, among other actions such as the manufacture of threats, the forging of minutes to alter and manipulate the data of the electoral results.
“We are suffering attacks of all kinds,” said the diplomat, who pointed out that with regard to the military institution the plan focused on imposing a narrative opposed to reality, in addition to social friction.
“Who paid for all this?” , Moncada revealed that USAID allocated funds to finance these aggressions, which have been applied in other countries for more than 70 years.
After the intervention of the permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN, Dr. Samuel Moncada, the General in Chief, Vladímir Padrino López accompanied by the High Military Command, awarded the ambassador the Order of National Defense medal in the rank of Officer and presented the coin “Bicentennial Battles of Junín and Ayacucho”.
