Ambassador Franklin Zeltzer Malpica presented Credentials to the Pope

The new Venezuelan ambassador to the Vatican delivered the credentials to the Holy Father Francisco, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Holy See, through his account on the social network X.

“Ambassador Franklin Zeltzer Malpica presented credentials to His Holiness Francisco. On behalf of President @ NicolasMaduro, he expressed the affection of the Venezuelan people and the commitment to continue working for peace,” the embassy published.

The country's new diplomatic representative to the Holy See, Zeltzer Malpica, was received by the pope on May 1, at the Vatican Apostolic Palace.

At the meeting, the ambassador presented the Pope with an image of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández.

The appointment of Zeltzer Malpica as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to the Holy See was approved last February by the National Assembly (AN) in regular session.

Zeltzer Malpica is vice-admiral of the Bolivarian Navy and has served as president of the National Docks and Shipyards C.A. (DIANCA) and the rectory of the National Experimental Polytechnic University of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (UNEFA).
