The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, shared the statement of the 25th Political Council of ALBA-TCP, in which they reaffirm that Latin America and the Caribbean, economically, must increase its domestic trade to mitigate United States tariff sanctions, while politically he called for establishing a unique position in the face of the revival of fascism in the region.

The final document specifies that the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean is made up of nations of peace that firmly reject the criminalization, dehumanization and deportation of Venezuelan migrants by the United States.

In this regard, this block of nations assured that the United States is responsible for migratory phenomena in the region due to the implementation of blockades and illegal economic sanctions against our peoples, which is why they demanded the lifting of these unilateral measures and we reiterate our commitment to South-South integration and cooperation mechanisms.

He also celebrated the 9th Summits of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean Nations (CELAC), which is scheduled for April 9, where it is expected to receive the president of the Gustavo Petro group from the current Honduran president, Xiomara Castro.
