The Secretary General of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, criticized the response of the European Union (EU) to Venezuela's decision to limit the presence of diplomatic personnel from the Netherlands, France and Italy in Caracas.

“The European Union and its cynicism. They don't know the Venezuelan constitutional government, they collaborate with the global destabilization campaign against Venezuela, they impose illegal sanctions, but they come out to complain and denounce a series of decent, sovereign, flexible measures, totally valid in international law,” Arreaza said of the Bolivarian Government's response to the actions of the bloc.

“The usual perpetrators, victimizing themselves as always,” Arreaza concluded. On Tuesday, in response to the hostile behavior of the Governments of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, France and Italy, characterized by their support for extremist groups and their meddling in internal affairs, the Venezuelan Executive announced the sovereign decision to limit the number of diplomats accredited to each embassy to three, a measure that must be carried out within 48 hours.
