ALBA-TCP countries address transport areas at first high-level meeting

E| Secretary General of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, led the installation of the First Meeting of Ministers and Senior Authorities of the Transport Areas.
The activity was accompanied by General Ramón Velázquez Araguayan, Minister of Popular Power and Transportation, and the various managers of the area in the countries that make up the block.
During his speech, Arreaza emphasized the importance of connectivity between peoples, while emphasizing the need to generate sovereignty and our own capacities in terms of transport, “to guarantee trade, human mobility, tourism and to strengthen all sectors of our economy and our real, physical and human union”.
For his part, the Minister assured that the objective of this first meeting is to consolidate communication ties, and the union between countries for the creation of transport routes that promote the development of various areas.
He also specified that despite the sanctions against the Venezuelan airline Conviasa, it has grown in the last seven years.
