Around 200 farmers from the Independencia municipality (Santa Teresa del Tuy) in Miranda have registered in the Single National Compulsory Register of Agricultural Producers (RUNOPPA) this Friday, January 24, during a day held at the facilities of the Independence Food Corporation, on the La Raisa national highway.

According to a regional press review, Orlando Sanz, Secretary of Productive Economy, highlighted the advantages of being registered, which allows farmers to be placed in the system and provide support from the Bolivarian Government.

He explained that the initiative is essential for the country's agrarian development and reflects the commitment of President Nicolás Maduro. He indicated that “an in-depth characterization of each territory will be carried out to achieve effective inclusion of citizens. In addition, credits and social work programs have been approved and will be implemented in collaboration with local producers.”

He explained that among the priority issues is the improvement of agricultural roads. The registration day will be extended throughout the week, reaching as many producers as possible in the seven agricultural areas of the 12 communes of Independencia.
