More than 800 active, retired and retired workers from basic businesses in Guiana participated in a meeting held at the Teatro de Sidor, where four representatives of industry associations read out their respective pronouncements and confirmed their willingness to dialogue to advance in meeting their needs and demands.
The interventions were given by Gustavo Ramírez, president of the Association of Pensioners and Retired Persons of CVG Venalum (ASPEJUB); Damaris Guevara, president of the Association of Retired Persons, Pensioners and Survivors of CVG Alcasa (AJUPAL); Juana Salazar, president of the Bolivarian Association of Retired and Retired Persons of CVG Ferrominera Orinoco (ABOJUPENFER); and Rosa Mata, president of the Association of Retired and Retired Persons of Sidor (AJUSO).
During the activity, the representatives expressed their position regarding the employment situation and defended dialogue and understanding as mechanisms to reach agreements, preserve the unity of workers and move forward in achieving greater benefits.
They also expressed their rejection of the protest actions they attribute to a minority sector, considering that they can generate divisions and hinder the advancement of the sector's demands.
The participants reiterated their willingness to continue meetings with the competent authorities to present their approaches and to move forward in the search for solutions to the needs of active workers, retirees, retirees and survivors of basic enterprises in Guiana.
