Today, the opposition member María Corina Machado, better known as La Sayona, who is touring the country to ask for the vote of Venezuelans for the candidate of the banner, Edmundo González, is the same one who in 2018 sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and to the then president of Argentina, Mauricio Macri, to attack Venezuela with the story of the “change of the rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr regime”.

In her account on the social network X, the opposition justifies the application of force against Venezuela on false grounds linked to drug trafficking and terrorism, which supposedly represented a "real threat to other countries, including, and especially, to Israel”.

“I am convinced that the international community, in accordance with the doctrine of the responsibility to protect, is called to give Venezuelans the necessary support to bring about the urgent regime change with a view to restoring national and international security. For this reason, I have recently addressed some letters to several of the world's leading leaders in order to promote before the United Nations Security Council the adoption of effective measures of protection for Venezuela through the promotion of regime change, a measure that necessarily implies a strengthening of international security. Today I want to ask Israel and Argentina to contribute their expertise and influence to move towards accurate and urgent decision-making in the Security Council,” was La Sayona's request for foreign troops to undermine Venezuelan territory.

For this reason, that sector of the Venezuelan opposition kept a complicit silence when the invasion plans that the Argentine army had contemplated in 2019 against Venezuela during Macri's term of office were unveiled , which would be carried out under the justification of humanitarian reasons.

That is why, even today, sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right do not condemn the massacre being perpetrated today by Israel against the People of Palestine, since they are the same ones that they were asking for Venezuela a few years ago, just because of their ambitions to come to power and promote “a change of regime”.

The extreme right has always seen Israel as an ally, that Zionist State that today has murdered more than 35,000 Palestinians and continues a criminal bombardment against that people who have only claimed what belongs to them historically.

This is how the extreme right and its allies of the extreme right act; they are the same people who seek the vote of Venezuelans today and say they believe in elections, but who six years ago asked that they invade, attack and bomb the people of Venezuela for their long-awaited “regime change”.
