Authorities inaugurated a new boarding and disembarking bridge for domestic flights at La Chinita International Airport, in Maracaibo, Zulia state, according to the Bolivarian Airport Agency (BAER), on its Instagram account.

The award ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Air Transport, Freddy Borges, who was accompanied by the president of BAER, Enzo Puglisi De Nisco, and the General Manager of Zulia Airports, Víctor Palacios.

The so-called pass-way number 4, once inaugurated, began to benefit the users of the air terminal, launching an airport service that will serve thousands.

Borges noted that “boarding and disembarking bridge number 4 will speed up boarding and disembarking processes, reducing waiting times and providing greater convenience to users” and added that they hope “that this new project will boost the development of air transport in the region and contribute to strengthening the connectivity of the state of Zulia with the rest of the country.”

The authorities highlighted the importance of this new infrastructure to improve the experience of passengers passing through La Chinita Airport, prior to the upcoming peak seasons, such as Carnival and Holy Week.

The work of the Great Transportation Mission Venezuela was carried out by BAER in partnership with the company for Latin American Railway Infrastructure S.A. (Ferrolase).
