A total of 80 compatriots returned from Mexico to Venezuela through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria, whose objective is to establish an airlift that allows the voluntary return of all those migrants and their families who lack their own means to return to national territory.

The information was provided by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on his account on the social network X, in which he stated that “we are deeply moved to see and hear the stories of our compatriots who return to Venezuela full of hope, knowing that they have the unconditional support of our president @ NicolasMaduro”.

“This return is a reality thanks to the Plan Back to the Fatherland, created by the president as a sign of his firm commitment to helping Venezuelans abroad to meet in their country and move together towards an unstoppable transformation and development,” he said.

For his part, the Deputy Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, said that Venezuelans who arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, in La Guaira, “will be able to embrace their family and friends thanks to CONVIASA's Embraer-190. This is evidence of the rapprochement policies of the president, Nicolás Maduro.”

Peña specified that to date a total of 900,000 Venezuelans have returned to the country, as part of the Plan Back to the Fatherland.
