On March 7, 2019 at 4:50 in the afternoon, the country suffered a terrorist attack against the National Electric System (SEN).

This sabotage of the SEN affected 80% of Venezuela's electricity, 18 states of the country were affected by the conspiracy of Juan Guaidó, the international right and the United States government.

The head of state Nicolás Maduro stated that “This is the greatest aggression of imperialism against Venezuela (...) we have spiritual strength and fighting morale to overcome any circumstance, because we are the children of the Liberators of America, we are the people of Hugo Chávez Frías,” he said.

For his part, Jorge Rodríguez, minister of communication at the time, showed evidence pointing to Marco Rubio as one of those involved.

“How did Marco Rubio know a few minutes after (the attack) that the backup generators had failed? At that time, no one knew yet,” Rodríguez said during a press conference on March 8 of that same year.

Juan Guaidó also saw the seams when he posted from his Twitter account that “Venezuela is clear that the light comes with the cessation of the usurpation”.

The intention of the sabotage was to attack the town and leave several vital areas without electricity. Thanks to the management of the Bolivarian Government, power plants were guaranteed to the country's hospitals.

The People once again fought the battle in a civic way, they resisted this imperial attack, the people organized themselves to assist the communities by strengthening the solidarity bond that characterizes them. Meanwhile, workers in the electricity sector gradually restored service.
