In the last 30 days, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) has destroyed 60 rafts used for illegal mining in protected natural areas, said the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message published in his X account, the senior military officer explained that this task for the preservation of the environment has been carried out by Rapid Reaction Units (URRA) located in the Monagas Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI).
