A total of 5,418 community circuits will participate in the National Popular Consultation on October 18, when the population will directly select the community projects that will be funded, said the Deputy Minister for Community and Social Organization and Participation, Ronald Solé.

“We are facing the national consultation process scheduled for October 18, in the final stretch of the campaign process, after having completed an entire previous organization program that has been carried out in a satisfactory manner,” said Solé, in statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).

The Deputy Minister stressed that the process involves new territories, including Guiana Essequiba, as well as neighborhood councils and condominium councils that are joining this mechanism for the first time. “It is a process of direct exercise of government from the ground up, from the depth of that deep and radical democracy that Commander Chávez taught us,” he said.

Solé argued that the commune and the communal State continue to be an alternative for the structural resolution of the country's problems and reiterated that the organizational process is developing satisfactorily ahead of election day.
