48 sports fields have been recovered by the Bolivarian Government in San Cristóbal

The works include infrastructure improvements, lighting, floors, fences and new spaces for recreation are created in the surrounding area

The Bolivarian Government of the state of Táchira, through the mayor's office of the municipality of San Cristóbal, has managed to recover 48 sports fields, according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias and confirmed by the mayor of San Cristóbal, Silfredo Zambrano.

The information was given during the reopening of the court located in block 45, in the Neighborhood Unit sector, a fact that, according to Zambrano, generates a boost in communities in terms of sports.

“We are working at several vertices, and sport is key to the development of a city. We are improving the infrastructure, placing lighting, floors, fences and also in the surrounding area we are creating new spaces, such as parks and family recreation areas,” he added.

He also added that, currently, San Cristóbal has 112 Community Sports Brigades, which are responsible for the maintenance and care of the courts, as well as the development of sports in the communities.
