On January 10, 2007, the love of a people led the Undefeated Commander of the Revolution, Hugo Chávez, to assume for the third time the presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the objective that he would continue to lead the reins of this free, sovereign and independent Homeland, after winning the elections with more than 62% of the votes.

“I swear before this Constitution, this wonderful Constitution; I swear before you, I swear by God, I swear by the God of my parents, I swear by them, I swear by my children, I swear by my honor, I swear by my life, I swear by the martyrs, I swear by the Liberators, I swear by my people and I swear by my country, that I will not give rest to my arm or rest to my soul, that I will give my days and nights and my entire life to the construction of Venezuelan Socialism, to the construction of a new political system, of a new social system, of a new economic system”, were the Commander's words to declare the transformation of the country into a Socialist State of equality and justice.

In addition, in his swearing in, he pledged that he would enforce, even with his own life, “the supreme commands of this wonderful Constitution, with the supreme commands of the Venezuelan people, even at the cost of my own life, even at the cost of my own peace of mind. Homeland, Socialism or Death! I swear!”

And that's how it was, Commander Hugo Chávez gave himself to his people and his country, so today, there is no doubt that this man became millions, he became a people who are still willing to defend and continue to deepen his legacy.
