2003: Commander Chávez celebrated the victory of the People in the face of oil sabotage

On February 9, 2003, Commander Hugo Chávez, during the program Aló Presidente number 138, highlighted the victory of the Venezuelan people in the face of oil sabotage by the Venezuelan oligarchy.

“They believed that Chávez could not stand the strike, of course they keep making mistakes because he is not Chávez, they personalize something that is not customizable, this is not a man, here what there is is a people with dignity, here what there is is a collective fighting, like never before in a century in Venezuela, never before has there been such a fervent people, such a conscious people”, emphasized the Supreme Commander.

The Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution explained that the triumph was also due to civic-military integration.

“Union, union, union, that is the currency of today's Venezuela. Well, we congratulate everyone, we congratulate here in El Palito where that great battle took place, popular, technical, scientific, civil and military, a great victorious battle,” he said.

He called for remaining vigilant in the face of future threats from the empire's lackeys.

“Blessed are you Venezuelan people! Because of that supreme conscience that you have, in addition to the people, the patriotic managers, there were some coup managers here, all of them left and will not return,” he stressed.
