17th National Congress and 4th International History Congress 2024 will be held in Miranda

A great festival surrounding the history of Venezuela, Our America and the Caribbean will take place from June 19 to 23 in the state of Miranda, with the 17th National Congress and the 4th International Congress of History 2024, with the motto “Homeland is America”.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, the event will be attended by specialists from Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Panama, Cuba, Mexico, the United States and Europe, among other countries. In turn, the guests will speak and discuss various topics framed in 13 thematic axes.

In this regard, the following topics will be addressed: Bolivar's Thoughts and Doctrine in Chávez; Bicentenary of Independence in Our America; History of Geopolitics in the 21st Century; Collective Memories on Insurgencies, Resistances and Counterinsurgencies in Venezuela, Our America and the Caribbean; Economic Processes and Labor Relations.

Also, Epistemological and Historiographic Debate; Perspectives and Realities of Cultural Heritage; Problems, Challenges and Realities of Teaching History; History of Women and Gender; Social and Cultural History; Political Situation in Latin America and Politics, Nation and Power.

It is important to note that the congress is organized by the Insurgent History Movement, made up of institutions that work in the protection, study and dissemination of Venezuelan and Latin American historical heritage; the History, Memory and Heritage Network, the Bolivarian Government of Miranda and the Association of Historians of Latin America and the Caribbean, which include conferences, tables of work, exhibitions and cultural activities.
