126 active forest fires have been recorded in Mexico

Mexico's National Forestry Commission (Conafor) reported that 126 forest fires are still active, affecting 8,669 hectares in 19 states of the country.

“In a coordinated way, nearly 8,200 fighters from municipal, state and federal governments, as well as forest owners, work in 126 active #IncendiosForestales,” the organization wrote on the social network X.

According to information from the Mexican press, the nation is experiencing the highest number of such disasters so far this year, affecting 19 states of the nation.
