The Mayor's Office of Barquisimeto, Lara state, granted resources to 12 communes in the central-western entity to implement social and infrastructure projects, said the local burgomaster, Luis Reyes Flores.
Reyes Flores, reported that the projects were selected in the national consultation processes, carried out in April and July of this year.
These resources, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), exceed 3.5 million bolivars and will make it possible to start projects, complete others and give continuity to the majority.
Reyes Flores indicated that with these contributions, “we seek, fundamentally, to give continuity to the projects that are still under execution, which were chosen by the communes in the respective popular consultations promoted by President Nicolás Maduró.”
Of these 12 communes, three are from the Agüedo Felipe Alvarado parish, one from Buena Vista, two from El Cují, three from Guerrera Ana Soto, two from Tamaca and one from the Unión parish, all with projects approved in the first and second National Popular Consultations.
