11 killed by sugar mill explosion in Tanzania

The commander of the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force, Shaban Marujugó, reported that at least 11 people died from an explosion at a sugar factory in the Morogoro region.
According to an interview with
the Xinhua news agency, Marujugó explained that the incident occurred around 01:00 local time on Wednesday at the Mtibwa sugar factory, in the Kilombero
district, where eight Tanzanian and three foreign technicians lost their lives.
The
explosion occurred in the control room where those involved were testing one
of the newly installed heating systems for
sugar production.
The foreign
victims came from Brazil, Kenya and India, and the accident also
left two people injured who are in a delicate situation.
