Vice President Rodríguez announced the completion of the exploration project in the Cocuina field

This Monday, September 23, the Executive Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Popular Petroleum Power, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the completion of the exploration project in the Cocuina Field, offshore fields shared by the country with Trinidad and Tobago.

The information was released by Rodríguez, through his account on the social network Instagram, in which he said: “Great news for Venezuela! The seismic survey campaign for the British Petroleum (BP) ship in the Cocuina field has just been successfully concluded, as a result of the agreement promoted by Pdte @ NicolasMaduromoros between the company, our country and Trinidad and Tobago”.

“This project is an important step in positioning our country as a gas exporter,” he said.

He said: “Let's celebrate this progress and in national union let's continue working for the future of a power Venezuela!”

For her part, the Vice Presidency of the Republic, in her account on the social network Threads, recalled that the project was signed as part of Venezuela's energy expansion with neighboring countries. “And where Venezuela will be part of its march to export gas for the first time in the world,” Rodríguez said.
