This Monday, Venezuela is participating in the 31st session of the International Bioethics Committee, as reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), Gabriela Jiménez.
“The ethical debate is essential to contribute to a better understanding of contemporary challenges in scientific development and their implications in different areas for the well-being of peoples,” he said through his Telegram channel.
He specified that an agenda will be addressed in order to discuss different aspects:
1- Ethics in Quantum Computing.
2- Ethics of Synthetic Biology.
3- Ethics on digital media and the mental well-being of children and adolescents: a perspective from ethics and human rights.
4- Ethics in scientific and technological knowledge in Climate Engineering.
5- Ethics of Space Exploration and Exploitation.
He also indicated that he attended the 13th Extraordinary Session of the World Commission on Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
