The National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel), began the public offer for the implementation of the 5G frequency in the country, said the general director of Conatel, Jorge Márquez, who reported that he sent the account point to the president, Nicolás Maduro, to ensure the operability of the project.

“This country has already jumped on the 5G wave and we deserve it,” said Márquez, during the inauguration of the Venezuelan International Telecommunications Fair (Fitelven) 2024, at the Polyhedron of Caracas.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Marquez also reported that several companies have tested the fifth generation of mobile phone technologies.

The pilot test to promote 5G in Venezuela began in the state of La Guaira and in Caracas, through the state telecommunications company Movilnet.

He also added that the implementation of this project seeks to advance with new technologies to put them at the service of the population.
