Russian Foreign Minister warns of Israel's intention to seek a war between Iran and the US

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, warned of Israel's intention to increase its crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, to try to involve Iran in the crisis and unleash a war with the United States (USA).

In statements for the press reviewed by Telesur, he said that the Zionist entity killed the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in search of a war between Iran and the United States

“We pay a lot of attention to the problems of the Middle East, the outbreaks of conflict directly in the Palestinian territories and in Lebanon, in Syria; the problems in Iraqi territory; the situation surrounding attempts to involve Iran to provoke a very large war in the Middle East,” Lavrov stressed.

He said that there is general consensus that “Israel wants to create a pretext for the United States to be directly involved in the war.” In that regard, he pointed out that to form this pretext he is trying by all means to “provoke Iran”, as well as the Lebanese Resistance Movement, Hezbollah.

He added that what needs to be done is simply to stop the bloodshed and reject terrorist methods of settling political accounts.

In addition, the picture is even more complex, because since Israel began the last attack against Lebanon, on September 23, 1,640 people have died in less than a week, leaving at the same time 200,000 displaced.
