During his 60th Con Maduro+ program, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, warned that the United Nations (UN) is being subjected to a process of attrition and colonization by Western powers.

“The United Nations is in a vacuum, in a process of wear and tear... it is clear that it is tied up and I would say colonized. All decision-making bodies are colonized,” he denounced while pointing out the questions that the Governments of the Global South have issued in this regard in an effort to prevent the expansion of the war being promoted by the West against emerging powers and now the Middle East.

“I told him in the conversation I had with (António) Guterres (UN Secretary General) that we are in the crazy hour, the crazy hour when the empire was unleashed against Russia, and he wants to use Ukraine to bomb Russia, and to destroy it, it has been unleashed against China and is arming Taiwan, it has been unleashed and is providing weapons to the genocidal of (Benjamin) Netanyahu to destroy, not only Gaza, but now they are going to Lebanon,” he said.

On the extent of the invasions of the Zionist Government of Israel, he argued that this is a war against Arab peoples, Muslim peoples, by Western powers.

“It's a war to colonize the entire Middle East, let no one be fooled! What is behind all these wars and threats is a project of colonization and domination of the entire Arab world to seize its energy wealth,” he said.

He pointed out that all these actions seek to stop the collapse of imperialism and the domination of the West, but he did not hesitate to assure that this fall of the hegemonic world, with all these wars, is marking “the beginning of the end”.

“We are experiencing the beginning of the end of the world we have known, of the world of imperial and colonial domination, we are seeing the end of that world and it is dying of bombings,” he said and predicted that “here what is going to happen is what happened after the Second World War; we are going to a process of hard resistance, we are experiencing the decline of imperial strength”.

“You will see how humanity will respond to this,” he said.
