Jaison Chourio is the Cleveland Guardians' Minor League MVP

Young Venezuelan Jaison Chourio is the Cleveland Guardians' Minor League Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the year, according to Baseball America.
Chourio became the first Venezuelan to win this award and the fifth Latino to do so.
The Venezuelan has the attention of the managers of the Lower Class A Carolina League, who chose him in four categories: best batting prospect, best strike zone criteria, best defensive fielder and most exciting player.
The Venezuelan outfielder finished with a batting average of .270, 90 hits, 24 doubles, 44 stolen bases and leading the league with 86 tickets. In addition, he is the fifth in runs scored (69) and the seventh in pushed lines (58).
Chourio was also named to be part of the 2024 Class A All-Star Team.
Jaison is the younger brother of Jackson Chourio, who plays for the Milwaukee Brewers in the big leagues and is a strong candidate for the Rookie of the Year award.
