FUNVISIS records a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in Sucre state

An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 was reported on Friday night, September 27, in the city of Güiria, Sucre state. This was reported by the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS).

The earthquake had a depth of 106.4 kilometers and its epicenter was located 10.79 to the north and 62.41 to the west, 30 kilometers northwest of Irapa.

FUNVISIS explained that the earthquake was specifically 20 kilometers from Güiria, slightly affecting the population of Sucre.

At the moment, the rescue and rescue authorities have reported no major damage.
