Deputy Minister for the Communes met with spokespersons of the municipal councils of the Sucre municipality

The Deputy Minister for Community and Social Organization and Participation, José Luis Sifontes, held a meeting with the 12 spokespersons who make up the communal councils of the Argelia Laya commune, located in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state.
During the meeting, the spokespersons presented various proposals to improve the quality of life in their community.
The discussion focused on the projects and advances of the commune, where Sifontes highlighted the work done and congratulated the political leader, Yolanda Sojo, for her dedication and leadership. The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of knowing in depth the communal councils that make up the commune and of activating spokespersons to strengthen citizen participation.
One of the key points addressed was the work plan of the health spokesperson, who proposed carrying out a census to identify children with health problems, as well as the vaccination needs of the population, including women.
During the meeting, some key points were addressed, such as: President Nicolás Maduro Moros's drive to generate a change of government that seeks greater closeness with communities;
The updating of the spokespersons of the communal councils to promote the active participation of citizens; Promote governance from communes and communal circuits to more effectively meet local needs; the idea is that each ministry collaborates directly with the communes to ensure a comprehensive approach to public management; and finally, that each committee must be clear about its tasks and responsibilities for optimal functioning.
He also pointed out about historic assemblies and congresses, highlighting that The first level: Community Councils, where problems will be uploaded to the system for monitoring. The second level: Communes, with the same approach to management and problem solving, and the third level: Miranda Meeting, to unify efforts and strategies.
In addition, it was proposed to implement a surgical plan per commune, as well as to carry out consultations every three months, with the objective of executing actions and being held to account quickly and efficiently.
Deputy Minister Sifontes reaffirmed his commitment to working hand in hand with communities, promoting a more participatory and effective government that responds to the needs of the population and the lines of government promoted by the workers' president, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
