CORPOELEC began maintenance of almost 3 thousand kilometers of power lines in Mérida

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) and Governor Jehyson Guzmán began maintenance work on pick and pruning on 2,940 kilometers of line, equivalent to 60% of the lines that are installed throughout the state.
This was reported by the Secretary of Public Services, Marielys Sacipa, who explained that 41 electrical circuits were included in this approach, comprising the 23 municipalities of the state, including the municipalities Julio Cesar Salas, Justo Briceño, Tulio Febres Cordero, Timotes, Miranda and Caracciolo Parra and Olmedo.
In addition, Sacipa highlighted that in the Libertador municipality, specifically in the El Chama Basin and in the Santos Marquina municipality, this plan has already started, with the idea of preventing breakdowns due to rain and vegetation, according to Prensa Gobernación de Mérida.
Sacipa explained that in the Piñango parish of the Miranda municipality there is the “Ramón Carrasquero” hydroelectric plant. While a photovoltaic farm was installed in the Bubuquí housing complex in the Alberto Adriani municipality and in the Llano El Anís and Los Nevados sector of the Libertador municipality and at the La Aguada station of the Mérida Cable Car System, work is being done on the installation of the first solar park on a radio base in the country.
On the other hand, Sacipa reported that a 750 kva power plant was installed at the Mucujepe water treatment plant in the municipality of Alberto Adriani, as well as at the Hugo Chávez Hospital in El Vigía.
In addition, he indicated that at the High Technology Center (CAT) “Heroines of Mérida”, the Instituto Autonomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes (Iahula), the Sor Juana Ines hospital, the hospital in Santa Cruz de Mora, Santo Domingo, and Lagunillas, power plants between 125 and 313 kva were installed.
Sacipa thanked the government of President Nicolás Maduro, Governor Jehyson Guzmán and the efforts being made by the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services to optimize basic services in the entity.
