Cinemateca Nacional invites the Diploma Course in Conservation and Preservation of Audiovisual Material

The National Cinemateca Foundation extended the
invitation to participate in the fourth edition of the Diploma Course in Conservation and
Preservation of Audiovisual Material, scheduled to begin on April 20.
According to information from the Ministry
for Culture, this course for graduate professionals and
university students in the disciplines of Library Science, Archival Science, Museology, Social
Communication, Audiovisual Arts and related careers and interests, will be in person on Saturdays, from 10:00am to
3:15pm.
In this regard, the president of the National Cinemateca
Foundation, Vladimir Sosa Sarabia, stressed that graduates
of this diploma can cover employment opportunities in the institution's own film archive
, in the audiovisual archive of the National Library
or in any other audiovisual film archive that exists in the country, in
foundations, private companies, universities, training centers linked
to cinema and audiovisual, “which are not few, even in universities that are beginning to
form their private collections and archives”, as well as
video libraries, media libraries and archives of TV channels and even radios.
In addition, he stressed that the diploma course is
aimed at stimulating research in a wide variety of topics
that can be developed based on film and audiovisual archives as a source of his research.
