Cardenales de Lara is the new champion of the LVBP

Lara won her seventh LVBP championship

Cardenales de Lara completed the comeback and won four consecutive games to beat Bravos de Margarita in the Grand Final of 2024-25, thus obtaining the seventh pennant in their history in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

The final score of the sixth game at Antonio Herrera Gutierrez de Barquisimeto was 9-0.

According to the newspaper Líder en Deportes, the “red birds” quickly attacked Bravo's starter and reinforcement, the right-hander Jesús Vargas, with two runs in the first home run episode of Rangel Ravelo and five in Hernán Pérez's second double product, singles by Gorkys Hernández, Harold Castro, Ravelo and a sacrifice shot by Eduardo García, who one inning later took it out to Werner Leal, to bring two more to the rubber, to sentence the scoreboard once and for all and to make Cardener's journey joyful Ales to the title.

Adrián Almeida, who was only able to score two outs in his first outing, took the victory after throwing 5.1 innings in which he allowed three hits, the same number of passports and struck out five opponents.
