Authorities begin the recovery of the fifth floor of the University Hospital of Mérida

The Government of Mérida has launched works for the restoration and modernization of the fifth floor of the University Hospital of Los Andes, a level used for inpatient care in the area of Internal Medicine, said the director of the healthcare center, Nellys Molina.
Molina, in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency, highlighted that these works, carried out with investment and technical support from entities attached to the Government of Mérida, seek to improve and dignify the conditions of stay for patients, such as the work environment of the medical staff and workers of the health center.
Among the improvements to be made on the fifth floor is the intervention of the medical gas system, a network that dates back more than 50 years, and which with this restoration will be improved, covering the 10 hospitalization rooms available on the level, which can accommodate about 32 beds.
The works also involve the replacement of luminaires and the general recovery of the electrical system; the restoration of the nursing station and all the furniture in the area; the replacement of faucets and the recovery of the sanitary room; the arrangement of windows, restoration of the walls and their painting, among other works.
