FANB destroyed clandestine structure for illegal mining in Amazonian territory

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled a clandestine structure for illegal mining, within the framework of Operation Bolivarian Shield “Neblina 2024” for the protection of the Amazon territory.

The Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, GJ Domingo Hernández Lárez, said that, “in ground patrol and search operations, he located, dismantled and destroyed” this structure and logistics material in the Mina Diciembre sector.

He explained that a 13.5 HP motorbike pump, two 220-liter plastic containers for storing gasoline, an HP printer and two rubbers for motorcycle-type vehicles were found.

This operation was carried out “in accordance with the provisions of the fifth objective of the Homeland Plan, the 7T (Seven Transformations), the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, security and defense plans, Environmental Criminal Law and Water Law,” as reported by Hernández Lárez.

“National parks and forest reserves must be protected by all citizens as a constitutional right and duty,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that “the individual and collective conscience of the population plays an important role, within protection, and the protection of the environment for the survival of the human species on the planet is established in the 5th strategic objective of the nation”.
