Commander Hugo Chávez began making important changes to achieve social justice, and the consolidation of a society of equals; an action that the opposition opposed.

On April 11, the town was the victim of the Puente Llaguno massacre, and the subsequent presidential self-swearing of the head of FEDECÁMARAS (business union), Pedro Carmona Estanga, in harmony with the opposition and the media of communication.

On April 12, the “peaceful” opposition besieged embassies, persecuted and assaulted politicians, in addition to a brutal repression against those who demonstrated to demand an answer about Commander Chávez.

In response to a great popular feat, the return to power of Hugo Chávez would forever mark the historic evolution of the Bolivarian Revolution and the country's political future.
