Commander Chávez: The party and the government must be like two arms of the same body

During the Aló Presidente 307 program, from Barquisimeto, Lara state, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, urged that the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the national government be two arms of the same body.
“This figure occurred to me that the party and the government should be like two arms of the same body, party and government, and whatever body it is, the Popular Power, the Popular Power, the party and the government, we must unite to help in the impulse, in the growth of Popular Power, that is a fundamental strategic guideline,” said Chávez.
Likewise, he urged to continue developing “territorial power, popular power, missions, national power, the transfer of power to the People, national public power, economic power; monetary power, oil power, agricultural productive power, well, military power. In truth, this is an equation of the new national power, an equation to make Venezuela more powerful every day.”
“The empire that wants to be the almighty wants us to be too weak for them to dominate us, we want to liberate ourselves definitively and totally, to free ourselves from a higher power we have to be powerful and the first power: knowledge, morality. Popular power, economic power, social power, the power of knowledge, military power, technological power, cultural power is the power of the nation and that is why the empire attacks us so hard,” he said.
In this regard, he said that in the Revolution “we have to structure the commitment, the program, but based on the strategic project, the program, Socialism, popular organization, the strengthening of the party, alliances with other parties, other social sectors, popular movements, international struggle”.
